Super
[edit]This really is a great book, well worth reading. I had a wonderful deep resonance with a new part of me. Thanks Marlo! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.157.108.86 (talk) 13:50, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- This sort of "review" comment, which states one's subjective, personal opinion of the associated article's subject matter, does nothing to advance the discussion of how to improve the article and therefore does not belong on its talk page. I suggest you avail yourself of sites like Goodreads or Amazon in order to express your praise for this author's works, and for future reference, please see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for the rules and etiquette governing appropriate use of Talk pages. Needs work
[edit]Somebody please edit this entry-- there is a great deal of evidence that THE MUTANT MESSAGE DOWNUNDER is a total hoax-- Australian aboriginal activists have been campaigning against it for many years now-- and the publisher has re-filed the book as fiction. Please read the messages from the Aboriginal Elders available on their website: http://dumbartung.org.au/
They maintain the book is a New-Age fantasy and take deep offense at its contents.
- Simple solution. Edit the page yourself.Ronstock 16:48, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Needs an overhaul
[edit]I don't know too much about this writer, but this page has a vicious slant. Her book may have been fantasy, but this article should present the controversy dispassionately. There is a clearly mean and negative tone that has no place in an encyclopedic article. Someone spent a lot of time sourcing this with the specific intent of discrediting her, rather than presenting the fact that her work has been discredited. There's an important difference there. 208.10.44.2 (talk) 17:25, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
This writer has fabricated a story, stealing the last thing the indigenous tribes of Australia have, their culture and stories. She has used this fabrication to portray Australian indigenous tribes in a fabricated manner, where are your concerns for them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wombatuk (talk • contribs) 23:58, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agree but it needs reliable sources hence I've reverted those edits. Here would be a good place to start. Misarxist (talk) 09:01, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Distinctly NPOV
[edit]Morgan may be a fraud and "Mutant Message" a complete fiction, but this page is a hatchet-job. It needs to be fixed, badly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.155.2.113 (talk) 10:38, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- True. While I naturally don't buy the premise of her book, its refutation here is entirely unencyclopedic. For what it's worth the second half of the article states that there is a website which couldn't identify the tribe mentioned in the book (which is a far shot from #proving# that the book is a hoax), and then rehashes the statements from that website. Title
[edit]Could someone explain the title of the book, please? Maikel (talk) 17:44, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- To quote from Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines: "Stay on topic: Talk pages are for discussing the article, not for general conversation about the article's subject (much less other subjects). Keep discussions focused on how to improve the article. If you want to discuss the subject of an article, you can do so at Wikipedia:Reference desk instead." (At the risk of also breaking the rule I just quoted, I would personally suggest using the "Ask a question about this book" form found on each book's entry at Goodreads to find the information you are looking for.)
